We are here to guide

A birth Doula is there to guide and offer support during a most precious time in your life.  Birth Doulas are great for first-time mom’s as well as any additional births to provide physical and emotional support during the prenatal time with a focus on developing and creating a birth strategy. The Birth Doula’s role continues into the labor and delivery where assistance to the birthing person and their partner comes into play.  A postpartum follow-up session is also included to check in on mom, baby and support system.

WHAT IS A BIRTH DOULA?

DOULA is greek for “A woman who serves” In my doula practice I extend this definition to a woman serving other women and their partners. I am a trained birthing professional who serves in a non-medical role to assist women and their partners during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. This involves physical and emotional support during these phases of motherhood.

Labor & Delivery Support

$1377 (can be paid in installments)

Hire Janice as your personalized Birth Doula. Included services are two prenatal sessions to plan & strategize for the birth support. Physical & emotional support during labor & delivery, including postpartum Golden Hour and a postpartum visit follow-up session. Deposit is required to secure services and blance is due two weeks prior to delivery.  Add-on services include Reiki Sessions, Yoga, Meditation, and Oracle Card readings.

Pregnancy coach

$1,333 (can be paid in installments)

Pregnancy is an incredibly special and amazing time in a woman’s life.  It can also be daunting and challenging for many reasons.  Janice will walk with you on this amazing journey!  Offerings include weekly meetings throughout your pregnancy, starting second trimester. Sessions will be customized for you in terms of yoga, breathwork and meditation sessions.  It is also a space for checking in on how the pregnancy is progressing and providing any additional resources to help you thrive.  Included is a one hour Reiki healing session + custom aromatherapy created just for you.  Weekly sessions are 90 minutes for the duration of your pregnancy.

Pregnancy coach & Birth Doula Services

$2,411 (can be paid in instalments)

Combine the best of both worlds and hire Janice to provide coaching services for the duration of your pregnancy as well as physical and emotional support during labor and delivery.  Yoga and meditation are a great way to prepare for the amazing journey of motherhood and are extremely beneficial for both you and baby.  This offering includes the full suite of services listed for Labor & Delivery support and Pregnancy Coach.

  • Janice is wonderful! I had a very traumatic home birth, my placenta had torn while giving birth. My son literally bled out and was born not breathing. My midwife was confused and ill prepared and thought it was me that was bleeding. Janice jumped into gear and had her do cpr. My midwife didn't want to call 911 right away and Janice knew exactly what to do. She took the initiative and saved my sons life. She is kind and caring and does her research for any situation. I ended up having a scheduled c-section (my daughter was upside down :)) and she was there every step of the way. She asked the doctors and nurses all the right questions and really helped me stay at ease. She literaly set the mood in the room to calming and peaceful (which is not easy to do in a hospital room). She brought this calm and peace into the OR where she took beautiful photos for us so we can remember the exact moment our first daughter (first child) was brought into this world. She was also there for me after my daughter was born and my husband was with the nurses checking her out. She held my hand as they stitched me up (a very intense and emotional time for me) and it is something I will forever be grateful for as well as never forget. Janice then stayed for our golden hour and helped with latching and also helped with wrangling my wild and intense group of family and friends who had been eagerly awaiting to arrival of the first grandchild. She ensured we were ready for visitors and was a godsend through that process. Janice is a kind and wonderful human who I would very much recommend as a Doula.
